After the Day of Risk we were invited to speak at the UNECE conference on risk management, which marked 40 years of standardization work in the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe. The conferende was organised by the Working Party on Regulatory Cooperation and Standardization Policies. The aim was to enhance awareness of the importance of standards in risk management, and to discuss good practices which can provide a wider scope of risk assessment to standards, techical regulations and supervision.

OESO conferentie 28-29 oktober 2010, Paris
After the Day of Risk we were invited to speak at the OECD conference ‘Regulatory Policy at the Crossroads. Towards a new Policy Agenda’. It was organised together with the European Commission, the Belgian EU presidency and the Bertelsmann Foundation, and crowned a two-year project of regulatory management reviews of 15 EU member states. The conference aimed at helping member countries to restrain from unnecessarily heavy regulation after the credit crunch, and to gather input for revision of the 2005 OECD Guiding Principles for Regulatory Quality and Performance.
